Renaissance Festival is Sunday October 2nd. The entire landscaping/gardens around the Cloisters, just about all the way from 200th-187th street, hosts the best street fair in the city, complete with jousting and a medieval castle (the Cloisters) overlooking the Hudson River.
Early that morning is the most fantastic half-marathon of the year-- Grete's Great Gallop in Central Park.
Kim from this season's ANTM is so hot. I was skeptical of this season without Janice Dickinson, whose soundbites of wisdom I've regularly quoted at work. Twiggy, however, was a great replacement, more reserved than Janice but more insightful. And, hot lesbian models tongue kissing on network TV!
She got third in the 20-29 year old female age group in today's Van Cortland Park 5k cross-country race.
Two weeks ago we did the 4 mile race, and toward the end, I was like, wow, I don't think there are that many 20-something women ahead of us, but there are a bunch right about where we are. And it was hilly, and it was toward the end, and Jenny still looked pretty good, so I was like-- go! run! And she got 6th and I got 7th. She really sprinted at the end (she got a 30 second lead on me, in the last 1/4 mile, or less). So, this time, she was really fast. I'd just about catch up, and then she'd sprint faster, and finally finished 3rd! I'm so, so proud of my super-fast wife!
